Pre-School - Welcome to Badgers Class!

East Ruston Pre-School was established in September 2009 to provide high quality
pre-school education for children from 2 to 5 years olds.
We offer a small, friendly, caring, safe and secure setting for young children to make their first steps into education.

With the Early Years Foundation Stage at the heart of what we do, young children, learn through play. Opportunities to be involved in formal and informal activities are also available, these help to enhance confidence, independence and social skills for every child.

We achieve this by:
Providing a stimulating, happy, caring and safe environment
Facilitating a range of child and adult initiated activities
Focusing on the 11 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, with particular emphasis on the 3 prime areas – Personal, social and emotional development, communication and language and physical development.

Building good relationships with parents and other professionals to ensure that the wellbeing of each child is at the forefront of what we do.
Through joint Ofsted registration with the school, we are lucky enough with the resources and facilities we have available to offer the below additional opportunities to the children in our care:
Muddy learning
Heuristic play

2,3 and 4 year funding is available, please contact us for further details.

The Early Years Foundation Stage has a dedicated, enthusiastic, caring team of highly qualified staff in children’s care and early years education. Research confirms that children who attend settings with highly qualified staff have better outcomes.

Badgers and Robins class staff work closely together so that familiarity with the reception classroom and school environment are enhanced and therefore facilitate an easy transition in each child’s school journey.
